Are you passionate about Search and the technology that makes it possible? Yahoo! seeks a dynamic, strategic product leader to join its team. In the role as Product Manager for LatAm/Brazil Search, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing our search strategy in LatAm and/or Brazil. Your work will enable high-quality Search experiences for users across the Yahoo! network and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Understand global Yahoo! search strategy, understand Search situation in LatAm markets and develop winning (needle moving) search strategies for those markets.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Yahoo! Search product portfolio and map the markets’ requirements to that portfolio.
- Coordinate with US-based and Global market teams to prioritize products and make trade-offs.
- Understand search user behavior in LatAm countries and envision product suites that make sense for those markets.
- Communicate integrated roadmaps to senior/executive management.
- Track and Analyze metrics for Search LatAm countries.
Requirements:
- Passion for a high-quality Consumer Internet product.
- Extensive experience developing Internet product strategies in/for LatAm countries.
- Worked with geographically distributed (global) teams.
- Demonstrated strong capabilities in communicating and presenting highly-technical concepts at all levels of the organization.
- Driven team player, collaborator and relationship builder.
- Ability to prioritize among many competing alternatives and requests, balance customer needs (both internal and external) with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
- 4+ years of work experience and 2+ years of product management experience in Search, Internet, Web-Services products. International product management experience and/or LatAm product management experience are pluses.
- Bachelors required, MBA preferred. Computer Science degree highly desirable
- The role is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
- Fluency in English a must.

Integrated Consumer Experience - ICE
Job Description
The Yahoo! ICE Group – consisting of the Yahoo! Home Page, My Yahoo!, Buzz, Toolbar, Profiles and Network Services – is looking for a seasoned Director of Regional Product Marketing responsible for defining and delivering a holistic regional product marketing strategy that combines a deep understanding the consumer, competitive, and market landscape in your region for a set of global products.
This individual must possess a strong product sensibility, a mastery of marketing fundamentals as well as an innate sense of the local consumer and competition, in order to successfully champion the cause of the consumer and Yahoo! in order to define a sustainable product position and strategies to own and deliver against that position in your region. Your responsibilities will include market and user segmentation, business case development for new product and market opportunities, product positioning, competitive intelligence, & defining and tracking product and business success metrics.
As the regional face of the ICE Group you will represent the ICE team to the public, Yahoo! regional leadership, marketing, sales, business development, and public relations. You will also work closely with your global product marketing colleagues at Yahoo! headquarters in Sunnyvale, California as well as the broader cross-functional team including product management, research, public relations, user experience and design, business development, central marketing, sales, analytics and finance.
Direct Responsibilities
- Directly manage a team of regional product marketing managers and coordinate with global product marketing and product management colleagues that are part of the ICE group.
- Business case development for new regional product opportunities (build/buy/partner) or market entry strategies.
- Define regional product and segment specific research to understand the competitive landscape, customer segmentation, and customer satisfaction drivers.
- Develop market-specific problem statements, use scenarios, business cases, & MRDs, sharing results and recommendations with global product marketing and senior leadership to facilitate definition of a product roadmap that delivers against a unique and differentiated market position.
- Define product-level and feature-level messaging platforms to be used by Consumer Marketing, B2B Marketing and PR to inform outbound communications programs.
- Define in-product marketing strategy and messaging including: out-of-box experience / on-boarding, user education / tips, feature nomenclature, in-product help / tutorial requirements, feature tours, etc. Partner closely with Product Management, UED and Consumer Marketing to deliver against the in-product marketing strategy.
- Define regional product marketing strategies for new products and major new feature launches, partnering with regional Consumer / B2B / Brand Marketing, PR and other internal/external facing teams execute against those strategies.
- .Define regional product launch readiness and success metrics in coordination with Product and Marketing stakeholders.
- Track consumer feedback, customer care, customer satisfaction, dashboards and metrics to measure success and engagement of new and existing features and functionalities.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- 8-10 years of business experience, with 5-7 years of product marketing experience with consumer Internet products or services.
- Track record of influencing the product development process through customer insights, and the ability to translate user needs into product requirements and marketing strategies.
- Proven success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing and highly competitive industry.
- Leadership / people management - ability to grow and develop senior managers, quickly build and enrich relationships with peers across the organization.
- Direct experience launching consumer web-based products or services and managing product marketing strategy for those products.
- Strong analytical skills and passion for interpreting and translating quantitative and qualitative data into consumer insights.
- Ability to understand and interpret a complex competitive landscape and effectively prioritize the projects that will deliver the greatest impact on objectives.
- Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization.
- BA/BS required, MBA strongly preferred.

Introduction/ Role Description
The Emerging Markets (EM) BU of Yahoo!, headquartered in Singapore, is responsible for driving audience and revenue growth in South-East Asia, India, LatAm, as well other expansion markets such as Russia, South Africa, etc. As a core part of the Central Monetization Team, the Pricing & Yield Mgmt Analyst will play an important role in helping Yahoo! continue to optimize its business and drive business growth in LatAm markets of Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, etc. The analyst will develop thorough, accurate analyses for external and internal pricing & yield initiatives, work with the team to improve underlying processes and systems, and help identify opportunities to grow our business.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an analyst role in a sales, operations, or pricing/yield environment and will demonstrate

Responsibilities
- Handling daily pricing exception requests from Sales teams from emerging markets. Review, approve, and make recommendations on exceptions to Sales and Pricing & Yield management.
- Perform quantitative analyses on yield management initiatives related to Yahoo Media Sales and in-House Marketing.
- Develop analytical frameworks, custom models and ad hoc reports to support planning and decision-making
- Work with Yahoo country Media Sales Teams, Business Units, Marketing, and Sales to facilitate adoption of key metrics, reporting, optimization systems, and pricing/yield policies
- Collaborate with broader PYM team to identify new opportunities, capabilities, and processes that grow long-term value for Yahoo!
- Help develop presentation materials and recommendations for quarterly/annual planning and senior management discussions
- Provide backup coverage to other emerging markets including South East Asia, India, etc.
Minimum Experience
- 5-8 years professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience in pricing/yield management, sales operations, strategic consulting, or other quantitative analysis. Experience with media/marketing organizations is desirable
Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to present results of complex analyses clearly and to interface with cross-functional teams at all levels of seniority.
- Strong business sense: Solid understanding of business practices and effective business process; previous experience in business consulting, with particular emphasis on pricing or quantitative modeling, is a strong plus.
- Technical: Strong proficiency in Excel is a critical requirement. Experience with Micro strategy or related reporting tools is desirable.
- Advertising Platforms / Networks / Exchanges: Hands-on experience with advertising CRM/booking/reporting platforms is a strong plus. Understanding of Ad Networks and Exchanges desirable
Education Required
- Bachelor degree with a focus on business, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative discipline is required.
